چکیده

Background: Anterior cruciate ligament injury is a common which occurs in sports with an annual incidence of 68.6% per 100,000 population. Anatomic arthroscopic reconstruction remains the main stay treatment ACL injury. Fixation graft classified as direct and indirect. To compare stability knee joint, complications anterior by aperture interference screw fixation versus suspensory device femur. Methods: The randomized control study was conducted department orthopedics, Oxford Medical College Hospital RC from 2020-2021. 30 knees were operated, Ethical clearance taken patient followed up for six months. Results: preoperative Tegner Lysholm score poor both groups. Post-op group, 12 patients 80% had excellent functional outcome, 3 20% good outcome. In Endbutton 11 (73%) outcome while 4 (27%) Conclusions: Suspensory gives equivalent results when compared to fixation. rupture cyst formation; devices loosening bungee cord effect. Hence, Both techniques showed no statistical difference post operative

Femoral Aperture Fixation Improves Anterior Cruciate Ligament Graft Function When Added to Cortical Suspensory Fixation

BACKGROUND Recommendations for bone tunnel placement during anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction have become more precise. However, these recommendations differ neither with the choice of graft nor with the method of fixation used. The influence of the method of femoral fixation used on the biomechanical function of a soft tissue ACL graft remains unknown. HYPOTHESIS Our null hypot...

A comparison of functional outcome between bioabsorbable interference screw and endobutton fixation on femur in arthroscopic anterior cruciate Ligament reconstruction

Introduction: Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament [ACL] reconstruction is very commonly done procedure in recent times {1}. The graft fixation methods vary from aperture fixation [Interference screws] to suspensory fixation methods [Endobutton]. This is a Prospective non randomised clinical study of arthroscopic ACL reconstruction comparing the functional results between aperture fixation a...

outcome of simultaneous arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with hamstring tendon autograft: a multicenter prospective study

conclusions simultaneous arthroscopic acl and pcl reconstructions using hamstring tendon for combined acl and pcl injuries is a clinically effective, safe, time saving and cost-effective procedure with better patient compliance and reproducible for a timely return of motion, strength, and function with favorable outcome. background multiligamentous injuries of knee are a complex problem in orth...

Metallic or bioabsorbable interference screw for graft fixation in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction?

BACKGROUND Approximately 100,000 anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions are performed in the USA each year. Interference screw fixation is considered the standard for rigid fixation of the graft and provides higher fixation strength compared with other devices such as staples or buttons. The present study summarizes the latest evidence comparing the effectiveness of the available clas...

Hamstring tendon versus patellar tendon anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using biodegradable interference fit fixation: a prospective matched-group analysis.

BACKGROUND There are still controversies about graft selection for primary anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, especially with respect to knee stability and functional outcome. HYPOTHESIS Biodegradable interference screw fixation of hamstring tendon grafts provides clinical results similar to those achieved with identical fixation of bone-patellar tendon-bone grafts. STUDY DESIGN Coh...
